The properties of diamond segment mainly depends on the formula design of structural parameters, the structure of the formula parameters, the grade, size and concentration of the diamond segment, and the ratio of matrix materials group. The ratio of tire body group decides the strength, hardness, density, wear resistance and toughness of tire body. During the formulation design, the designer needs to design reasonably according to the nature of the processing object (such as the hardness, strength, thickness of diamond segment and abrasive particle strength), technical parameters of processing method (such as cutting feed rate, amount of feed and line speed) and the requirements of processing quality(such as the cutting efficiency and the service life of diamond segment).
Consider the formula design according to the nature of the processing diamond segment:
a. If the hardness and the strength of rocks are high; the particle of rock is fine; the abrasiveness is strong, we will use high level and fine granularity of the matrix of diamond segment.
b. If the hardness and the strength of rocks are low; the particle of rock is rough; the abrasiveness is weak, we will use low level and rough granularity of the matrix of diamond segment.
Consider the formula according to the technical parameters of processing method of diamond segments:
a. If linear speed and cutting speed are high; diamond segments and matrix give priority to the impact wear, we will use high-grade, high-strength and fine granularity of diamonds and high-strength and high-toughness matrix of diamond segments.
b. If linear speed and cutting speed are low; diamond segments and matrix give priority to the grinding wear, we will use low-strength and rough granularity of diamonds and less high-strength and high-toughness matrix of diamond segments.
Generally speaking, the speed of the device is fixed. Diamond saw blade linear velocity is constant. The cutting speed is controlled by the operator. When diamond segments are made of high-grade and fine granularity of diamonds, and segment bond has high strength and hardness, it may be increase the cutting speed. Cutting rate equals the multiplying of the feed quality and amount of feed. When the cutting rate is same, feed, amount of feed is big and the feed quantity is small, which is good at the diamond segments.
If you want a high cutting efficiency, you need to use high-grade and rough grits of diamond, which is good at the service of diamond segments.
